happy (late) anniversary

Recently had my birthday and realized it's been about a year since I started this blog so I'd like to thank everyone for visiting!

(I had an image here but I decided I didn't like it and took it down.)

Just a heads up, I may not be posting as frequently in the upcoming weeks since I've recently had a few plans change on me and maybe a little distracted. Anyways, thank again for stopping by.

painting study - work in progress

Here is a work in progress study from an exising painting.

The challenge with this seems to be working with overcast lighting that doesn't really give you a strong lightsource to define three dimensional forms with. Usually, when faced with this, a lesser artist could run into the problem of having everything look flat and 2d dimensional, not mention loosing the "instand read" of a piece.
