Cinematography BLOG

I ran into this blog a little while ago that showcased screen shots from different films analyzing their cinematography:

Thought it was a good bit of reference people might be interested in. The site also has a section for film reviews as well.

Hanging with Marc Gabbana

I recently got a chance to hang out with Marc Gabbana this week. For those who don't know, Marc is a very succesful concept artist who is most famous for his work on Star Wars Episode I & II in addition to a slew of other films including Hellboy, MonsterHouse, Beowulf, just to name a few. You can view his work here:

Marc recently left Imagemovers Digital (people behind Polar Express, Beowulf, and the soon to be Christmas Carol coming out later this year) to get back into his personal work. While still painting digitally for his freelance, Marc has decided to get back into traditional painting. Here is a shot of him above working on a personal piece in acrylics.
